Last few months I've been going through a bout of depression. Finally feel like I'm coming out the other side and am beginning to get back to writing and reading again.

I'm guessing that depression for writers is probably fairly common because we're such empathetic people.

One of the things I've done to help myself keep going with writing through all of this is to make a commitment to keeping a writers journal. I'm usually all electronic, but for this I've gone old school. Fountain pen and moleskin paper journal.

If you've faced depression as a writer, what have you done that has helped you get through it and remain committed to your writing?
